Why choose our explosion protection systems

Critical safety advantages for hazardous zones

ATEX & IECEx certified enclosures

Every junction box and enclosure is third-party certified for Zone 1, 2, 21, and 22 areas. You get a documented compliance trail for your site audit.

No rework during inspection
Dust-tight IP66 construction

316L stainless steel with powder coating and silicone gaskets keeps fine combustible dust and corrosive vapors out of terminations and splices.

Reliable in grain elevators and chemical plants
Intrinsic safety zener barriers

Passive diode‑resistor modules limit energy to safe levels for 4‑20 mA loops, RTDs, and digital I/O. No external power needed for protection.

Simple retrofit into existing cabinets
Blast‑resistant pressure relief

Reinforced steel body with controlled‑direction vent panels contains internal explosions and protects personnel. Hydrostatically tested to 1.5× rated pressure.

NFPA 496 and EN 60079‑2 compliant
Pre‑tested flamepaths and grounding

Each unit undergoes pressure testing and flamepath verification before shipment. Internal bonding points ensure low‑impedance earth path.

Reduces on‑site commissioning time

Why engineers trust CanineSafety over standard enclosures

Built for the harshest zones, backed by ATEX certification

Every enclosure and barrier we deliver is tested against real explosion scenarios — not just paper compliance. Our clients in oil, gas, and chemical processing rely on hardware that survives a blast and keeps circuits intrinsically safe.
ATEX/IECEx certified from the ground up

Unlike generic electrical boxes that claim “hazardous location” after a coating, our junction boxes and enclosures are designed and tested to ATEX and IECEx standards from the first weld. Each unit undergoes individual pressure testing and flamepath verification before leaving the shop floor.

316L stainless steel with IP66 ingress protection

Standard enclosures rust, crack, or lose seal integrity after a few seasons in a refinery. Our explosion-proof boxes use 316L stainless steel with a powder-coated finish and silicone gaskets that maintain IP66 protection even after repeated cover removal for maintenance.

Intrinsic safety barriers that don’t drift

Zener barriers from commodity suppliers often show leakage current drift after thermal cycling. Our modules are individually tested for breakdown voltage and leakage at three temperature points, ensuring consistent energy limiting for 4-20 mA loops, thermocouples, and digital I/O circuits.

Blast-relief panels that vent in a controlled direction

When internal ignition occurs, our blast-resistant enclosures release pressure through engineered relief panels — not through the door or cable entries. This protects personnel standing nearby and prevents secondary damage to adjacent equipment. Each unit is hydrostatically tested to 1.5 times rated pressure.

Dense DIN-rail mounting for tight cabinets

Space inside control panels is always limited. Our zener barrier modules are designed with a compact footprint that allows dense DIN-rail installation without compromising creepage distances or thermal dissipation. You fit more channels per cabinet without violating safety clearances.
